Service is unbelievable. Under new ownership a couple months back and even better than it was 20 years ago now! New happy hour and appetizer menu which was very impressive in their new sports bar. Had such a nice time last night with about 20 friends in there. They were so accommodating I can’t believe it after living in the big city for the past 20 years. Great lake view. Great owner. Great waitress. We were well taken care of and I can’t wait to get another get together organized there in the next couple of weeks. It is THE only decent dining experience in Sweet Home!

Love it here! The atmosphere is great. The food is great. The staff is wonderful. I have nothing bad to say about it. Go if you get the chance. 🙂

The Point Restaurant is the most amazing place for breakfast. It’s hidden deep in Oregon, in what used to be an old logging town. Fortunately for my taste-buds my Grandparents call this sweet little town home. Every time we venture down this way we always make it a point to stop at the Point for a delicious meal (seriously, no pun intended). It’s always the same, and it’s always perfect – in the most delightful, warm, cozy way. The best bloody Mary’s of my life – hands down, no competition. I love this place!!

I really liked this place! I was in Sweet Home a couple days ago, and a local colleague recommended it to me. Their special for the day was actually special, unlike most “specials.” That night it was a bacon-wrapped prime rib topped with garlic mushrooms. It was delicious…one of the best steaks I’ve had away from home in a long time. Nice and juicy and cooked exactly to order. The garnish was vegetables; they were slightly undercooked but still quite nice. Another nice touch is when you arrive at your table, they immediately bring you a small loaf of their homemade bread. I often don’t like to eat too much bread before a nice meal, but I couldn’t stay away from this bread. It was very tasty. The butter they brought was actually ready to spread on it too; not hard as a rock as it often is elsewhere. I was too full to try their pies but I hear they are delicious. Maybe next time. Oh, and I forgot to mention the view!! There is a nice view of Foster Lake from the booths on the north side of the restaurant. The only minor nit-pick I have with the Point is their dated decor. They could stand to modernize a bit, being the high quality restaurant they are.

Under new management, the Point Restaurant is the best fine dining restaurant in Sweet Home. It has a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and the best of the best views of beautiful Foster Lake. My favorite meal is the Grilled Clam Dinner. It is very delicious! If you enjoy eating Alfresco, then try the outdoor dining…very nice surrounded by numerous planters of flowers and to enjoy the sun rays. The breakfasts are super good, plentiful, and quick. The owners make all their customers feel welcome and serve fresh quality food. You won’t be disappointed!

This restaurant from the moment you pull into the parking lot is special. They are situated across the street from Foster Lake! Patio seating is available with beautiful, colorful hanging flower baskets. The wait staff is friendly and clean. The menu has a wide arrangement of selections, with the emphasis on fresh and local ingredients. Our meal was nothing short of amazing! And the homemade desserts are to die for! Our experience from beginning to end was stellar.

This place is great! Their food is really well made and the service is friendly and attentive. Order a beer and it comes in a SUPER cold frosted glass, which I like. We go to the Point a few times a year when visiting from Portland and we always talk about the best ever super cold Widmer Hefeweizen we get there. I’m a veggie eater, so I’m a big fan of their veggie burger (with thick cut fries, so awesome), the dried cranberries they put on their salads, and the Shrimp Louie. So good. My meat eating husband swore by the French Dip last time we were in. Oh, and their pies? So delicious. The Point is a great choice for a meal in the Sweet Home area!
